The camera's WiFi is not remote. Please download important clips to your phone while in the car and the engine is on if needed. Frequently Asked Questions: Q1: Do I need to turn on the dash cam every time? Is the WiFi needed to be connected to start recording? A: No. The dash cam will auto turn on/off, along with your car engine. You don't need to connect the WiFi manually after the first use.

Q2: Can I view the video after turning off the car? A: The video will be automatically saved on the MicroSD card (NOT PHONE). 1) If you've manually downloaded all the video to your phone while the car was running, you can watch it even when not in the car. 2) But to view videos that haven't been downloaded yet, you can only watch them by connecting to the built-in WiFi when the car is running. 3) You can also watch all videos when the MicroSD card is inserted into a PC.

Q3: I have the 4K front-only version, can I add a rear camera to it separately? A: NO, YOU CAN'T. You can only change to a new entire set, as the front-only and dual recording versions have different PCB boards.

Q4: Why does the dash cam get hot? A: It's a normal situation. Fitcamx cameras can work normally at -20°C to 85°C (-4°F-185°F), so please don't worry. 1) The surrounding space of the camera is small, and the vehicle's original parts nearby can also cause high temperatures. 2) The camera's installation position under the windshield causes high heat in direct sunlight during the day.

Q5: What if my phone can't connect to the WiFi? Is the Fitcamx APP safe and stable to use? A: The WiFi can only be connected when the car engine is started and the dash cam is working. If you can't connect, send screenshots of the WiFi & APP pages! The Fitcamx APP is safe and easy to set up. You can download it from the App Store or browser.

Q6: Why doesn't my car have parking monitoring? Can I upgrade to this function? A: It depends on whether your car's power plug can supply electricity continuously, which is designed by the car manufacturer. If it can be powered continuously, there is a parking mode; otherwise, no. To upgrade with this function, it requires an extra harness cable. (The parking mode does NOT RECORD 24/7 hours continuously, it will only start recording in case of a serious collision.)
